....is nearly an inch long — barely the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce, but he's poised for rapid weight gain now that his basic physical structure is in place. He's also starting to look more and more human. His embryonic "tail" is now completely gone and his body parts — including organs, muscles, and nerves — are kicking into gear.
His eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. He has earlobes, and by week's end, the inner workings of his ears will be complete. His upper lip is fully formed, too, and his mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The tips of his fingers are slightly enlarged where his touch pads are developing. All major joints — his shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and ankles — are working, enabling your baby to move his limbs. As for his heart, it has divided into four chambers now, and the valves have started to develop. External sex organs are there, but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks.
Yup the baby is looking more and more human. When we had our check up session with the boring gynae that i mentioned before (as a matter of fact, he still is boring..maknanye yg sebelum ni bukan sebab lain la except he's just like that), the sonogram shows clearly how the baby looks like(I'll post it later once i capture the sonogram photo using my camera). Pretty amazing huh?Masyaallah...God's creation is incredibly beautiful. We as human can never ever simply create something that is so perfect like God does, what more to create a human being. It's totally far beyond our reach.
Back to the session with the gynae. We reached the spital early in the morning. Booked our appointment and then went for breakfast at ground floor. Tung tang tung tang about 930 we went up to the clinic. The nurse told us that we were number 6 in queue. That's great!Nampaknye boleh balik cepatla!(bare in mind guys, the intention wasn't going back straight to office if the session could finish early..kalo tak warning, mesti you guys ingat bagusnye aku balik cepat ke ofis...hehe). Tunggu punya tunggu, lama jugak rupanya. About an hour later, the nurse called my wife's name, "Puan Aida Azni"..heheh..puan..heh..apsal lelaki tak jadi tuan ek?Ok whatever, back to the story, the nurse asked my wife to weigh herself first for them to record it. My wife cakap," Bang tape bang, abg dudukla dulu nurse just suruh timbang berat je". Tapi aku ni jenih yg concern and caring (ahaks!penyibuk sbenarnye..hehe), everytime nurse sebut 'Puan Aida' je aku yg sampai dulu..hehe..After that, we went in to the gynae's room. That gynae, senyum lebih kurang, tanya2 ala kadar, tulih2 sket then asked my wife to lie down for him to scan. I was so amazed to see the baby on the screen. The baby is a lot bigger now and it's been just 2 weeks since our last check up. The heart beat still can not be heard. Tak sabar nak dgr the heart beat bile doc tu scan, dub dab dub dab..I'm sure it's gonna be the most soothing sound that I will ever hear in my life..I know i know, a little bit exaggerating but what the heck, that's how i feel...When the gynae done with the scanning, we sat down for consultation which I seriously think that it's quite a big disappointment as I expected. Since the gynae so 'berat mulut', so just not to disappoint ourself further, I asked the gynae whether my wife can take flight if ever she needs to especially for working reasons. He asked, "When?". I said"Most probably early next month she will be going to US for work". He then replied, " Boleh2, by that time dah should be ok. I will issue a letter saying that you are pregnant just in case they ask."Then before we went out from his room, he said," Ok so we are gonna see again in a month time," while he's jotting down the next appointment date. The moment he said that, i said to myself, " Yeah right! That's it for you.I'm gonna find another gynae!."
After that, i sent my wife to UM and I headed back to my office. By that time, it was already noon, so i straight away to where we usually have our lunch, at Makcik 60'an. Taktaula ape yg sedap sgt kat kedai makcik tu. Lunch je automatically and subconsciously terus ke situ. Ape jenis mandrem dah dia letak aku pun tak tau. Korang try la cari kedai Makcik Selera 60'an kalo dtg menempek kat area2 Uniten. Kitorang sukela mkn kat situ, korang aku taktau. Jgn nanti korang dtg try mkn kat situ and tak sedap, korang blame aku lak. Shoot!!Dah nak lunch time rupenye patutla bercerita psl food. See, subconciously aku bercerite pasal kedai makcik tu gak..seriously mcm dah kene pukau, lunch = makcik 60'an..ok guys, chow!!(ala2 my wife's boss, Kak Z..hehe)
