This time I set my alarm to 6 am in the morning. It was our last day and predictably, I didn't want to leave. My husband was still asleep. I kissed him good morning and asked if I could walk on the beach by myself. He groggily nodded, and went back to sleep. I brought the camera along and took pictures of the deserted beach and rising sun. Nothing beats sitting by the beach in the morning with your eyes closed, listening to the waves. I walked on the beach, getting my feet wet. Surprisingly the water was warm.
By the time my husband joined me, I was already itching to jump in the water. He didn't want to, so I went alone while we watch and take pictures. Tide was high and water is a little blurry in the morning, possibly because the sun wasn't completely up yet. Soon my husband joined in. Swimming is definitely much more fun with a target to tickle. We saw see-through fish that almost blend in with the sand. These fish were more shy than the ones we played with the day before. After a while more people came out to the beach. They were probably wondering what on earth are this crazy couple doing in the water so early in the morning. Another mat salleh couple followed our lead and came swimming as well.
After breakfast, we packed our bags. We were sad to be leaving, but no regrets, we had such a great time. At 12 pm, they took our luggage and we board the boat. Bye bye Perhentian. Home sweet home.
Hopefully more island getaways to follow! :)
Pictures, coming up soon!
